Martha Young

Martha Young is a Certified Human Resources Professional, CHRL, and has extensive experience working with large and medium-sized unionized organizations and working with small organizations lacking in-house HR expertise.

Martha has an Honours BA in Psychology, a Certificate in Human Resources Management and has completed the well-respected University of Windsor and Stitt, Feld, Handy Group courses in Alternative Dispute Resolution and On Line Negotiation. She also completed the Foundations of Professional Coaching Program from the Adler Faculty of Professional Coaching.

Prior to developing her own business, she held senior Human Resources Management positions and was a member of the organization’s senior management team.

Martha approaches the management of an organization’s human resources with innovative and creative strategies and understands the need to link people with strategic goals and business objectives.

She has numerous clients in health care and broader not for profit sector and understands the particular challenges faced by those organizations.

Martha is active in her community, as a Rotarian, the Past President of the Board of Directors of The House of Sophrosyne, Past Chair of the Board of Leadership Advancement for Women and Sport, and has also served on boards of other non-profit organizations.

Julie Knowles is a Certified Human Resources Leader, CHRL, with extensive experience as a Human Resources Professional working with large and medium-sized unionized organizations.

Her education includes a Certificate in Human Resources Management, CMHA Certified Psychological Health and Safety Advisor, Crucial Conversations© Certified Trainer, Prosci® Change Management Certification and Certified Joint Occupational Health and Safety Member.

Julie began her career in Payroll and transitioned to Human Resources. Julie has held a variety of positions in Payroll and Human Resources ranging from a Generalist, Specialist, Supervisor, Manager and Director.

This significant experience facilitates her clear understanding of the Manufacturing Sector, Long Term Care, Community Mental Health and Local Health Care Systems. In her various roles Julie has attained extensive working knowledge in the areas of Recruitment and Selection, Succession and Merit Planning, Job Evaluations, Position Descriptions, Salary and Pay Equity Administration, Pension and Benefits Administration, WSIB/Disability Management, Return to Work Plans, Workplace Wellness, Health and Safety, National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace, Labour Relations/Negotiations, Performance Management, Training and Development, Policy and Procedure Development, HR Reporting, HR Information Systems, Payroll, Staff Management, Change Management, Project Management and Leadership.
